Time is Precious

An important thing to remember is just how vital time management in life and also in being able to check items off your “To You List.” I know that a lot of the things I’m checking off are time consuming and I’ve mentioned in a few posts about how it might be difficult to make time in your busy schedule for certain things. We’ve all been there, but if there’s one thing that college has taught me it’s how to perfect the skill of time management.

When it comes to time management there is one item that I could not live without: my agenda. Whether you’re in school or not, writing down what you need to get done by a certain date and different events that you have coming up is essential in order to make the most out of your days and stay organized.

Organization and time management go hand-in-hand. While the words “live in the moment” and “go with the flow” may be words you deem fit to live by, they just aren’t compatible with having good time management. If you want things to get done, you have to make the time to get them done. Simple as that.

Another way I’ve mastered time management? The Reminders app on my iPhone. Whenever there’s something I know I absolutely need to get done, I will set a reminder for the day before and day of because I am always on my phone and know that I will see it. This helps me stay on top of the little things like remembering to send an email.

Everyone has their own way of managing their time and has a method that works best for them. However you do it, make sure to remember that time management is key is bettering not only yourself but your life.
