The second item on my “to you list” is to make myself a priority. Too often I find myself putting others before myself. While there is nothing wrong with making others a priority, I find that sometimes it’s easy to forget about myself when doing this.
My goal is to make sure that I am consistently making myself a priority and I challenge you to do the same. Too often we neglect our own wants or needs with the idea that putting ourselves first is a selfish act.
The very concept of this blog, making your own “to you list,” is making yourself a priority. If taking the time to better yourself and become your ideal version of yourself is selfish, then it must be OK to be a little selfish.
While there is a fine line between being self-consumed and making yourself a priority, don’t forget that the #1 person involved in your success is you. Whether you’re stressed out beyond belief and need time to yourself or you find yourself constantly bending over backwards for someone who doesn’t do the same for you, make sure that you’re taking the time to consider your own needs.
Don’t forget that it’s never selfish to make yourself a priority.
